Confusion over Chhattisgarh IAS officer's release

Sukma: Confusion remains over the release of Sukma Collector Alex Paul Menon. According to preliminary reports suggested that he had been released. But now it seems to be last-minute doubt. Principal Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister N Brajendra Kumar said: "So far we have not received official information about the collector. We can confirm, when you physically get information or to chat with local institutions."
"We do not know which route was becoming a collector. We waited for him before the sun sets and the helicopter was ready for him, but this did not happen," he added.
Naxals were completely controlled by the forest area and does not allow a certain point after the suppliers. Sources say the government agreed to form a committee to examine the cases against the prisoners, such as the Maoists in return for safe release of Menon.
Earlier on Thursday, negotiators BD Sharma and G Hargopal left the state capital and was Chintalnaar, from which they moved into the jungles of Tadhmetla.
The mediators are likely to put IAS officer in Raipur for a medical examination.
According to sources, the government agreed to form a committee to examine the cases against the Maoists in return for collector's release.
Naxals had on Tuesday night told the BBC that they would release the IAS officer 3 of May.
Cost of the care was then Naxals 21 April.
Sources say that per the agreement, not jailed Naxal cadres released, but the government to form a high-powered committee to examine the cases of some detainees in prison, including the cases required by the Naxals.
The Committee, which is the permanent secretary and the DGP as members of the state, is due to be operational "within the hour" to release Menon, according to agreement.
The agreement, which is quickly adopted by the Board sub-committee headed by the Chief Minister said the matter was extremely concerned about the welfare of the mediators were Menon. Raman Singh had said that the negotiations can continue even after the release of Collector.
