NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Naveen Patnaik Odisha and Prime Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi on Monday met the equivalent of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa here.
After participating in the Chief Ministers Conference on internal security, Patnaik and Modi went to Tamil Nadu Bhawan hold separate meetings with the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
The Prime Minister Punjab Parkash Singh Badal is also expected to reach Tamil Nadu Bhawan.
"I'm here to pay courtesy call, madam J Jayalalithaa. Mrs. is an old family friend of my father, so I came here to pay a courtesy visit," Patnaik said.
Patnaik was the first to reach Tamil Nadu Bhawan and Modi to him later.
Modi went to the hall where the Odisha Prime Minister was to meet his Tamil Nadu counterpart. Mod Patnaik and then exchanged greetings Patnaik remaining.

He also hoped that the center complies with the principle of consultation with the governments of Member States, when such important decisions are made in the central government.
"No doubt, it is a pre-arranged training specified by the doctrines of the union between the two countries. Yet, is it too much to expect to be informed?" he asked
Govt-army tensions affecting the internal security: Modi
A burden on the Centre's recent controversy, in which the military leader of Gujarat minister said the tensions in civil and military wings will inevitably adversely affect the internal security of the country.
Speaking at the Chief Ministers Conference on internal security, Modi said: "It is unfortunate that the current Union Government has failed to plant the faith and confidence in our defense preparedness for the common man".
Modi said the internal security can not be viewed in isolation, because it is linked to external security scenario and the armed forces of an important role in anti-infiltration and anti-insurgency which has a direct impact on internal security of the nation.
"In this context, all the shortcomings of our defense because of lack of resources, demoralisation, and the ordinary members, and tensions between the civilian and military wings are forced to have adverse effects on the internal security of the nation," he said.
The Prime Minister said the Centre is taking proactive measures "to remove the mist mistrust and suspicion", who was born into "the recent unseemly controversy" rather than "remain content with merely issuing statements".
Criticising the Centre for its "not indicative" approach, in which the state governments on key security issues, Modi said the center creates a "state space" by changing the RPF Act, BSF Act which deprives the power of the state police and state involvement in the topics listed below.
He said the politicization of the central government agencies such as CBI, is growing and they are used to oppress and harass political rivals of the ruling party in the middle.
"This approach has been gravely compromised the credibility of agencies such as the CBI, and is a cause for concern, because these agencies are also involved in internal security matters," he said.
Modi called into question claims that 97 percent of the center of intelligence inputs have led to central government agencies, and only three percent of the Multi-Agency Centre for revenues come from government agencies, which in turn take responsibility for the correct information they disseminate.
He said such statements would only belittle the efforts of numerous state employees, which is the foot soldiers of Homeland Security.
"I would strongly urge that the panel of experts should review the parameters of such figures, arrives. Review should culminate in a comprehensive White Paper looking at the detailed data collection and sharing, and the appropriate standards," he said.
