Joe Hockey undermines Tony Abbott on the National Disability Insurance Scheme

Opposition treasury spokesman Joe Hockey Tony Abbott has undermined support for a National Disability Insurance Scheme, declaring he would not commit to something that he can deliver.
Tony Abbott has pledged support of the National Coalition for Disability in Labor Insurance Scheme and is offered "constructive cooperation" on the issue.
Mr Hockey said he supported the NDIS, but refused to make the proposed approach or match Labor timeframe for the establishment.
"I'm not going to raise expectations and then not deliver," the fusion of Treasury spokesman said the National Press Club today.
"I will do that. That undermines confidence, it undermines hope and that is what we got to go to the next election."
Opposition has lashed the government for failing to rule out additional levy to fund the NDIS. But Mr Hockey also refused to rule out the levy.The Rec Coverage 28 Day Pass

"I'm not going to make promises I can not deliver. Want to see how it unfolds over the next few months," he said.
The best way to fund the NDIS will get rid of net debt, Mr Hockey said.
Mr Hockey said Labor decision to bring forward the NDIS a year and make $ 1 billion the measure is a "cruel ruse", because the promises fell well short of the $ 3,9 billion in the Productivity Commission recommended for the first stage of the procedure.
He said no funds from states and territories, the NDIS will never get off the ground.
"It's just that now the government says it is tempting to state," Mr Hockey said.
"From what I hear from the state's funding needs are far greater than what they actually."
Mr. Abbott has pledged its strong support for NDIS, urging a bipartisan approach to getting it off the ground.
"We want to make this reform takes, very historic change, not something which is a political football," she said recently.
"It will require an extremely high level of consultation and attention to detail that can not be rushed without significant risk to subsequent success techniques."
The government will now offer support care of Mr. Abbott, declining his offer to establish a joint committee in advance of the scheme.
Mr Hockey has tackled the Coalition's promise to provide tax cuts without a carbon tax, saying the cuts are made to the tax tables as they stood now, the new rates that existed when the carbon tax introduced.
Despite the hard labor to reject the "tainted" vote of sidelined MP Craig Thomson, Mr Hockey said coalition will find it difficult to deny the vote Mr. Thomson if it is offered to support a motion of no confidence in government.
In a wide-up speech that evaluates federal budget last week, Mr Hockey flagged a hardline fiscal strategy from the coalition if it is to win the next election.
But treasury spokesman is short on details, saying all is revealed before the next election.

"While these appointments are based on merit, the four additional part-time appointments will be individuals with deep experience in the private sector," he said.
