BASIRHAT, West Bengal: In a combative mood after a string of bad publicity for handling a variety of issues, the West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee today said no amount of negative publicity prevented it your goal to bring development to people.
"No one can prevent Mamata Banerjee to serving you. I prove to them who are out to tarnish our government conducted a campaign lies, lies. No amount of browbeating or propaganda helps," Banerjee said accusing the media of painting a bad picture of part of his government.
Separate the two news channels, he said that they are dishing out lies day and listed the number of channels to watch.
He said the canards were being spread, as it makes tireless efforts to restore the past glory of Bengal which was destroyed during 34 years of Left rule.
"I do not care about the fingers pointed to me. I do not care for anyone. I only take care of Ma, Mati, Manush Bengal," Banerjee said the rally here in North 24 Parganas district of the responsibility of the government.
Banerjee, who is mentioned among the 100 most influential people in the world, Time magazine's 2012 list, complained that one could not respect your home.
Noting that the government wanted to force many farmers to acquire land for SEZ to come back and raise the ceiling area, he said: "I could never do. Bengal People do not believe that the land mafia and looters."
"The day I, Mati, Manush tells me that I can not run the government, then I quit. I'm not cling to the chair as the CPM. I have no lust for power," Banerjee said.
"I have no family. People in my family. I came here, after giving the cause of blood in humans."
He said that critics of his government was not satisfied with the return of peace Junglemahal and Darjeeling.
Listing the achievements of his government, he said: "We have made 10 months working for 10 years. What are we doing in five years makes CPM heartburn."
Facing criticism evicting homeless people from the eastern periphery Nonadanga big city, he accused non-governmental organizations for anti-eviction movement.
Sarath Pārtha molecular biologist Roy was among those arrested with 68 others. He was released after spending 10 days in jail.
"We do not want to hurt the street and the homeless. Some NGOs have taken money from those with vested interests, and has brought people from the outside to create problems. They use the local people here."
Initiating a series of projects, Banerjee said after giving Rs 40,000 crore investment in cash-strapped, the government created jobs for 2,75,000 people, while 2,50,000 jobs in the private sector for job seekers.
According to the National Insurance Scheme, Banerjee said 1,50,000 people have been working.
Consider inviting the private banks offer crop insurance to farmers, said the West Bengal government is willing to bear the financial obligations of the banks in this regard.
